The main problem in writing about Sri Lankan topics is inaccessibility of textual material. This isn't primarily a language issue, as Sri Lankan texts are often in English, but an archival issue. Key texts tend to be available only in a few Sri Lankan libraries, if at all; almost nothing is digitized; and buying rare antiquarian books from outside Sri Lanka appears to be nearly impossible. Consequently, the RBP needs a research collaborator and editor based in Sri Lanka to do additional research and expand and revise the Sri Lankan pages.
