My name is Lajos Brons. I was born in the Netherlands in 1972, but have been living in Japan since 2008.
Since 1990 I have been hanging around at universities a lot, studying, and later also teaching. Since 2024 I have no formal university affiliation anymore. I'm now living on Sado island and try to make a living with academic proofreading and translation.
I first got interested in Buddhism and radical political thought when I was 12. (I'm not a Buddhist, however.) I've been writing about philosophy for a couple of decades, and published a book titled A Buddha Land in This World: Philosophy, Utopia, and Radical Buddhism in 2022. I'm a co-founder of the RBP, together with James.
